This test did not generate a java exception. The ACL did not block a user from editing a particular page. I deleted cookies and temp internet files to remove the application's previous session prior to test.

The ACLs seemed to work on other pages.
Are you the author of the Wikiblanc page that had the ACL I just removed? If so, this is likely not a bug: the ACL was not correctly formed. It might help if you were to post (on this page) the ACL you had written and the names of the groups and/or users it is meant to effect so we can verify that the syntax is correct? -- MurrayAltheim
