It would seem that enabling HTML embedding and turning on FCK don't mix: the HTML of the page content appears as direct text, and not in the FCK editor mode.

This is a very old bug, we have had many changes since then, especially in the WYSIWYG area, I close the bug, if you still see this problem on the current release, please feel free to re-open the bug.
